Aged Care Gurus is a specialist provider of education, training and support to financial advisers, lawyers, accountants and aged care providers.
Rachel Lane, the Principal of Aged Care Gurus, has been working in financial services for over 15 years and specialising in retirement and aged care for over a decade. Rachel has developed Village Guru online software that can negotiate Entry Costs and Deferred Management Fees in Retirement Communities while giving clarity to residents and operators to best manage their financial position.
Rachel has co-authored a number of books including the well-known 'Aged Care, Who Cares?' with Noel Whittaker, their more recent publication "The Retirement Living Handbook" and the industry text "Retirement and Aged Care Living". She regularly facilitates workshops for peak bodies and is often sought by key industry, Government and media professionals for expert comments and advice in this area.
Rachel holds a Masters in Financial Planning which included a research report on aged care in Australia titled 'Aged Care; The struggle to provide Quality, Equity, Efficiency, Sustainability and Choice'.
Rachel describes herself as passionate about aged care and believes this special sphere of interest developed from the close relationship she enjoyed with her own grandmother when she was growing up.
